The oil used in the Yuchai generator set is the lubricating oil for the engine. Due to the fact that the engine parts of diesel generator sets are made of metal materials, without lubrication, the parts are prone to damage due to friction between metals, and this damage is irreversible and irreparable; Therefore, relying on oil to form an oil film on the parts to lubricate and protect them.
The oil used varies depending on the manufacturer of the Yuchai generator set and the output power of the diesel generator set. Generally speaking, after 50 hours of operation of a new engine, it is 50 hours after medium or major repairs. The oil change cycle is carried out simultaneously with the oil filter (element), and the general oil change cycle is 250 hours or 1 month. When using type 2 oil, the oil can be changed after an extension of 400 hours, but the oil filter (filter element) needs to be replaced.

Oil replacement method for diesel generator sets:
1. Place the generator set in a flat surface, start the engine for a few minutes, raise the oil temperature, and then stop the engine.
2. The removed oil injection bolt is the oil stain.
3. Place the oil filter cup under the engine, remove the oil drain screw, and the oil will be discharged from the crankshaft oil tank.
4. Check the drainage screws, seals, and rubber rings of the Yuchai generator set. If there is any damage, please replace them immediately.
5. Reinstall the recycled oil screws and tighten them.
6. After dripping oil, add it to the upper position of the dial indicator mesh.
After replacing the Yuchai generator set, please confirm that the oil level is between the low and high marks. When using continuously, please check the oil level every 8 hours. The specific operation is as follows.
1. Run the engine to operating temperature.
2. Remove the bolt bolts at the bottom of the oil pan and discard the lubricating oil.
3. Install the bottom plug with a new gasket.
4. Remove the full flow filter and bypass filter, and check that all gaskets are not left on the engine.
5. Wipe the filter mounting seat clean to prevent dirt from entering the engine when installing a new filter.
6. When installing the filter element, do not add lubricating oil to the filter element. When the lubricating oil added does not pass through the filter element, it will contaminate the lubrication system. Apply lubricating oil to the sealing gasket, screw the filter into the engine by hand until the sealing gasket contacts the base, and then tighten it by 3/4 turns.
7. Add lubricating oil in appropriate locations, do not exceed the high mark.
